The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the clinic and the clinic staff to drive and produce a profitable, professional, and safe work environment. The Assistant General Manager can assist with hiring and coaching clinic staff members and trains them on all ME and company operations and policies. The Assistant General Manager will also focus on driving the results of the front desk staff to maximize sales results. Their objective to have a knowledgeable, professional, and motivated team focusing on clients and the profitability of the business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Administrative/Managerial

 

o   Sets specific and measurable goals (S.M.A.R.T.Goals) with the General Manager to maximize growth and profitability

o   Uphold and drive a culture of excellence in performance, compliance, and demonstration of company values

o   Continuously communicate, train, and lead all staff at clinic

o   Work with the General Manager and handle and all employee attendance and HR issues

o   Ensure budgeted staffing with qualified, trained professional at all levels.

o   Study under the General Manager to learn major KPI’s of the business and how to grow revenue

o   Maintain a visible leadership presence to ensure performance, operational and compliance standards are met

o   Ensure that inventory and supply management is being done and that loss prevention systems are being adhered to and monitored

o   Ensure all cash controls and systems are adhered to

o   Support all marketing and promotional efforts including retail items

o   Ability to learn and master POS system and payroll system

o   Immediately report any inappropriate behavior complaints to General Manager

o   May perform payroll on a bi-weekly basis and ensure proper timekeeping is being followed according to state law

o   Execute General Manager directives accurately and on time

o   Assist and support front desk staff and always provide excellent service to our members and guests

o   Know and adhere to corporate and franchisor policies, procedures, processes, code of conduct and the highest standard of personal behavior

 

·         Training

 

o   Keep apprised of employee performance and coach on a regular basis

o   Always communicate coaching conversations to the General Manager

o   Assist the General Manager maintain employee development programs

o   Train employees daily to maximize employee performance and commitment

o   Constantly fill your bench and have a line of succession while you work to learn and grow into a General Manager

 

 

 

 

·         Retention

o   Implement regular company practices to retain our current member base

    • Drive front desk sales to grow membership base and combat attrition
    • Increase paying member base to drive profits and growth
    • Understand and review booking schedule continuously

·         Scheduling

o   Monitor staff schedules to ensure company metrics are being maintained

o   Ensure maximum productivity for your front and back of house staff

o   Review service provider schedule to maximize efficiency and increase service hours

o   Review payroll reports to confirm that all employees are taking breaks and the payroll is within budget

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

 

o   Schedule flexibility and availability for nights and weekends.

o   Understands that as a member of management, you will be asked to take emergency calls at times, and while we do our best to minimize this, we do ask that you are committed to supporting your staff

o   Must be customer service oriented

o   Must communicate effectively and articulately, verbal and written, and in a courteous and professional manner on a regular basis. This communication can extend to members, guests, staff, regional developers, and franchise owners and beyond.

o   Accepts constructive criticism and use it as a tool for personal and professional growth

o   Knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

o   Reliable attendance and punctuality

 

PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time, ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English.  Must be able to see well and able to read fine print.  Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 10 pounds – maintaining files and documentation. Must be able to see and work with a computer screen for extended periods of time (approximately 5 – 7 hours) and work in open area with other employees.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION:  AA (Associate Degree) and BA (Bachelors) preferred.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:  Must have basic math and cash handling experience and previous customer service experience (preferred). Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks as well as work cohesively with others in a fun and fast-paced environment. Must possess general knowledge of massage and esthetic services and modalities.  Prior sales and management experience preferred.

 

PERSONALITY/OTHER:  Must be confident of skills; have the willingness to adjust to and conform to varying schedules; use the utmost discretion regarding sensitive company and member/guest information (maintaining client confidentiality); have excellent communication skills; be able to coordinate resources and responsibilities; and be able to get along well with others.  Must be accepting of constructive criticism in a positive manner and using it as a learning too. Must be able to lead and motivate a team for a shared goal of clinic profitability and success
