Qualified Candidates:

  • Have management and/or sales experience, preferably in a personal service environment such as a spa, salon, or gym. Massage industry experience is a PLUS but not required
  • Are natural leaders who can build relationships while motivating, coaching and supporting a team
  • Proven experience in recruitment or HR, preferably within the health and wellness or similar industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates, educational institutions, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and motivation.
  • Comfortable with technology, including recruitment software and social media platforms for recruiting purposes.


Day-to-Day:

  • Talent Identification: Proactively identify and reach out to qualified massage therapy candidates through various channels, ensuring a robust pipeline of talent.
  • Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate suitability for massage therapist positions, focusing on both technical skills and alignment with Massage Envy’s values and culture.
  • Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are fully prepared and integrated into their roles.
  • Partnerships with Local Schools: Work closely with local massage therapy schools to establish and maintain relationships, promoting our brand as an employer of choice and securing fresh talent.
  • Apprenticeship Program Management: Oversee and manage an apprenticeship program, providing guidance and support to both apprentices and mentors, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
  • Resume Monitoring: Regularly check for new resume postings and reach out to qualified, experienced massage therapists to fill open positions.
  • Networking: Attend job fairs, school events, and other networking opportunities to promote Massage Envy’s employment opportunities.
  • Many, many other tasks as needed! This position requires a lot of versatility and creativity to think outside the box and accomplish the mission!!
